Wo-Tum-Bu 1 Floor Lamp by Dagmar Mombach and Ingo Maurer
Germany, 1988. Sculptural floor lamp with a tall, tapered pleated shade and slender metal stem set into a cylindrical base. Emits a warm, diffused light.
“Wo-Tum-Bu 1 is meticulously handcrafted. As with all luminaires in the MaMo Nouchies collection, the shade is made of Japanese paper. In the workshop of Dagmar Mombach, it is shaped in a multi-step artisanal process. The concrete bases are cast by hand.Their unique look— with irregular surfaces and occasional air bubble marks—is a deliberate design feature. Every Wo-Tum-Bu is one of a kind.”
Dimensions: 74.8”H; concrete base 3.9”Dia x 7.9”H
Condition: Very good vintage condition with light wear consistent with age. Tested and working with a US plug.
Available for pickup or delivery in Chicago.
